Here Comes the Sun

Here Comes the Sun

Have you ever had one of those supernatural moments where you know, beyond a shadow of the doubt, that God exists?

Rounding a corner on my morning walk, I was contemplating some of the year's tough circumstances, questioning what would become of them. As I walked into the sunlight, it's warmth enveloped me while listening to the words, "Here comes the sun, here comes the sun, and I say it's all right. Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter. Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here. Here comes the sun, here comes the sun, and I say it's all right..."

A sudden awareness came over me that God was talking to "me" and calling "me" "Little darling." Tears, tenderness, and a knowing that God cares about where I've been and where I'm going brought a new hope that a new day is coming.

Read the words imagining God is speaking to you, if you've been in "a long cold lonely winter":

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
It's all right

Yo-Yo Ma & James Taylor's version is especially good listening on "Yo-Yo Ma & Friends Songs of Joy & Peace" album
