The other day my husband mentioned that my status of "Deep in Thought" on my Gmail account has said that for a couple of months now. I told him that it hasn't changed. I'm always deep in thought and analyzing life. It's just harder to put it down in writing.
My writing friend, Carol, quoted Donald Miller in his book A Million Miles in A Thousand Years, who says something like, "A writer doesn't necessarily want to write, they just want to be written." I can so relate, especially with my ADD, impatient self.
So, I've decided to start a big girl blog over at wordpress.com. It's under construction but I'm excited about the features it offers and hope it unleashes my blocks and insecurities. I will unveil it soon!
In the meantime, congratulations to my friend, Val, who won the "First Wax Free" at the European Wax Center. She homeschools her children, helps administrate her husband's TaeKwon-Do school, and she just had kidney stones removed after several weeks of pain. I think she deserves to win more self-inflicted wax pain, all in the name of vanity, of course. Hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!
